Bio
I hold a Doctorate in Teacher Education and a Master of Fine Arts in ceramics from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. I studied ceramics in West Africa through Parsons School of Design and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art Education from the State University of New York at New Paltz.
My ceramic art has been sold and exhibited nationwide.
I taught at Hampshire College for 17 years and in the fall of 2021, I joined the amazing Art Education faculty at Boston University. I am interested in teaching all aspects of art education, but particularly courses that focus on Art in Education and art as a vehicle for learning and a catalyst for social change. Additionally, I work with Smith College and Mount Holyoke College Teacher Licensure Program as the Program Supervisor for art, dance, and theater education licensure students. I am a certified K-12 art teacher who has been teaching for over 30 years to children and adults locally and internationally.
